Line 8 serves Pazhou and Xingong Dong. The transfer stop at Kecun connects Line 8 to Line 3 for Zhujiang New Town and Tianhe. Metro security bag scanners operate at every stop and slow entry at peak times. The metro from Pazhou to Zhujiang New Town takes 20 to 30 minutes. Pre register for the buyer badge online via the Canton Fair official website before departure. The pre registration channel supports the visa invitation letter route, which the China Foreign Trade Centre issues after online registration. That letter supports the M visa application at the Chinese embassy or consulate in your home country. Without the letter, the visa process takes longer.

The badge is free for overseas buyers. Bring a passport, a recent color photo, and a business card to on site registration if you miss the online window. Book the hotel two to six months ahead. If you need a sourcing agent for sample handling or consolidation, arrange one before arrival rather than searching at the complex.

What to Do If You Are Not Attending but Caught in Fair Weeks

Avoid Pazhou and Tianhe during phase changeover days. Eat through Liwan instead of crossing the river for a meal. The metro from Liwan to Pazhou takes 30 to 40 minutes, but you should not need to make that trip.

Liwan offers Beijing Road pedestrian street and Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. The Canton Tower light show and Pearl River night cruise are accessible from the Tianhe side but will be crowded. For a quiet evening, Shamian Island offers colonial architecture and banyan trees with almost no fair traffic.
