Arrivals are on Level 5. Baggage reclaim operates 12 carousels in Terminal 1 arrivals. Typical baggage delivery wait after arrival is 15 to 40 minutes. From aircraft to arrivals hall with a checked bag, budget 30 to 60 minutes. With hand baggage only, you can reach the Airport Express platform in 15 to 25 minutes from the gate. Immigration e-Channels clear eligible passengers in 1 to 3 minutes. Visitors aged 18 and over can use the frequent visitor e-Channel if enrolled.

Food And Drink

The food court airside on Level 7 near gates 40 to 80 offers meal prices from HK$60 to HK$150. Coffee costs HK$35 to HK$55. The landside food court on Level 5 arrivals hall has a more limited selection. 24-hour food options are scarce: airside McDonald's near gate 40 and 7-Eleven near gate 21 stay open through the night, while landside offers only McDonald's, 7-Eleven and Starbucks with limited hours. SkyPier Ferries

For transit passengers heading onward by ferry to Macau or mainland China, the SkyPier operates adjacent to Terminal 1, connected by the automated people mover. SkyPier ferries go to Macau Taipa (55 minutes), Macau Outer Harbour (70 minutes), Shenzhen Shekou (30 minutes), Zhuhai Jiuzhou (70 minutes), Guangzhou Nansha (90 minutes), Dongguan Humen (70 minutes) and Zhongshan (70 minutes). This service is restricted to transit passengers who have not cleared Hong Kong immigration. Checked baggage can be through-checked to the final destination for participating airlines.
